I'm looking for a laptop and I found Asus laptops are the best available in my country (INDIA) which meets my requirements.But only thing that keeps me away from getting one is OLED panel.People say it doesn't last long,burn in issues,dead pixel etc etc.The alternative to it as of now is MacBook Air M1,but I still prefer linux over any other OS.

Obviously the main thing is setting your screensaver to be black and activate at like 1-3 minutes. Second is auto-hide taskbar since that's the main thing that's static. Personally I don't like the taskbar being hidden so I just dragged it to the second screen. Asus also has a built-in safety feature called pixel shift.
Laptop displays have different characteristics compared to TVs. Blue is the weak link and red is the strongest on true RGB oleds. Avoid bright blue and constant white images, like windows logo to avoid uneven degradation of the blue pixel. The red subpixel is almost impossible to burn in. Green is somewhere between the other two.
0. June 10th, 2022 19:00. Yes OLED burn in is covered as long as machine is in warranty (max 4 years) whether it's premium of basic warranty. Although if you are gonna spend this much on a machine better go with premium . Tech Support may ask for pictures for warranty services.
In theory, OLED can show greater color saturation than IPS. But don't assume that every OLED display actually does that. IPS can actually be brighter than OLED due to the backlit design.
